On Being an Observer in Your Own Life
How to Tell Who & What Environments No Longer Reflect Who You Are Becoming
Do you dread social engagements or do you love them? Do social obligations make you anxious? There could be a lot of reasons for this. With family, maybe you’ve never felt like you can be your true self around them because you fear they won’t accept you.
Maybe you’re still learning more about who you truly are after a breakup or a major life change and you’re still not comfortable as an individual. Or maybe you’ve grown so much that you no longer resonate with any of the people you used to enjoy hanging out with.
If any of these scenarios sound like you, then read on because social events are the perfect litmus test to see where you are in your growth, your soul development, and/or a sign that it’s time to move, live and thrive in environments that reflect who you are becoming.
Being an observer in your own life during social engagements is the ultimate meta litmus test — like you playing you in a first person POV video game. It’s an opportunity for you to be completely present and self-aware of yourself in your own skin and body and see how the environment responds to you. The observation comes when you evaluate your experience, like providing feedback on the game to the game developer, who is you by the way.
